Every June 1, the Indonesian nation commemorates Pancasila Day as an important momentum in the history and journey of the nation. In 2025, the commemoration of Pancasila Day carries the theme "Strengthening the Pancasila Ideology, Towards a Great Indonesia" which reaffirms the commitment of all elements of the nation to strengthen the basic values of the state as the main foundation in realizing an advanced, sovereign, and united Indonesia.
A Brief History of Pancasila
Pancasila, which consists of five principles, was born from the noble thoughts of the nation's founders on June 1, 1945. The five principles are:
1. Belief in the One and Only God
2. Just and Civilized Humanity
3. Unity of Indonesia
4. Democracy Led by the Wisdom of Deliberation/Representation
5. Social Justice for All Indonesian People
These values are not only the basis of the state, but also a guide in national and state life.
The Role of the Young Generation in Strengthening Pancasila
The young generation as the successors of the nation has a vital role in strengthening the values of Pancasila. Through education, digital literacy, and social activities, young people must be able to become agents of change who prioritize the values of unity and tolerance.
A deep understanding of Pancasila must be part of everyday life, so that the young generation does not only memorize, but also practices these values in real actions.
Pancasila Birth Day 2025 is a strategic momentum to strengthen the Pancasila ideology in the hearts of all Indonesian people.
