The Bekasi Regency Statistics Indonesia (BPS) office conducted training for the September 2026 National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) as part of the preparatory phase for the survey's data collection. This training aimed to enhance the understanding and competence of field officers in conducting data collection in accordance with the concepts, definitions, methodologies, and procedures established by BPS.
The training was attended by officers who will be involved in the September 2026 Susenas implementation within the Bekasi Regency area. The training material covered the objectives and scope of Susenas, variable concepts and definitions, questionnaire completion procedures, interview techniques, and the use of data collection applications. In addition to the presentation of material, the training included discussions and practical exercises to better equip officers to handle various situations they might encounter in the field.
Through this training, it is expected that all officers will share a unified understanding and perspective regarding data collection, thereby minimizing errors during the enumeration process. Officers are also expected to apply effective interview techniques, maintain data quality, and carry out data collection responsibly and in compliance with applicable regulations.
The implementation of the September 2026 Susenas is expected to yield accurate, high-quality, and reliable socio-economic data, thereby supporting the provision of statistical information essential for development planning, monitoring, and evaluation, particularly in Bekasi Regency.
