Abstract

  • The composite Producer Price Index (PPI) of the three sectors (Agriculture, Mining and Quarrying, and Manufacturing) in quarter II-2022 rose 4.09 percent against quarter I-2022 (q-to-q) and increased by 11.77 percent against quarter II-2021 (y-on-y).
  • The PPI of the Agricultural Sector in quarter II-2022 rose 0.43 percent against quarter I-2022 (q-to-q) and increased by 6.37 percent against quarter II-2021 (y-on-y).
  • The PPI Mining and Quarrying Sector in quarter II-2022 rose 24.03 percent compared to quarter I-2022 (q-to-q) and increased 68.44 percent against quarter II-2021 (y-on-y).
  • The PPI Manufacturing Sector in quarter II-2022 rose 1.10 percent against quarter I-2022 (q-to-q) and increased by 4.51 percent against quarter II- 2021 (y-on-y).
  • The PPI for the Electricity and Gas Supply in quarter II-2022 rose 0.14 percent against quarter I-2022 (q-to-q) and increased by 0.49 percent against quarter II-2021 (y-on-y).
  • The PPI for the Water Supply in quarter II-2022 rose 0.21 percent compared to quarter I-2022 (q-to-q) and increased by 1.00 percent against quarter II- 2021 (y-on-y).
  • The PPI for the Passenger Transportation Sector in quarter II-2022 increased by 10.33 percent against quarter I-2022 (q-to-q) and rose 14.73 percent against quarter II-2021 (y-on-y).
  • The PPI for the Accommodation and Food Beverage Sector in quarter II- 2022 increased by 0.52 percent and 1.49 percent compared to quarter I-2022 (q-to-q) and quarter II-2021 (y-on-y), respectively.
  • The PPI for the Education Services sector in quarter II-2022 rose 0.07 percent and 3.76 percent against quarter I-2022 (q-to-q) and compared to quarter II-2021 (y-on-y), respectively.
  • The PPI of Health Services Sector in quarter II-2022 rose 0.45 percent against quarter I-2022 (q-to-q) and increased by 2.72 percent against quarter II-2021 (y-on-y).
