Integrated agricultural food statistics data collection with the KSA method is a new method that aims to improve data collection methods to be more objective and modern by involving the role of technology in it, so that data becomes more accurate and timely. Data collection with the KSA method is carried out throughout Indonesia with coverage of rice and corn commodities.

The purpose of the KSA survey is to calculate the estimated harvest area for rice and secondary crops (corn). The estimated harvest area with the productivity of these commodities will be the production figures for rice and corn commodities.

The implementation of KSA itself combines a standard map of rice field area obtained from remote sensing technology (satellite imagery) as a sampling framework and the use of Android devices for field observation. Data collection through KSA is carried out using segment areas as calculation samples. Segment observations are carried out on the last seven days of each month.
